Unemployment.
Unemployment maybe foreseen, but other times it comes from the blues.
There are various reasons that bring about unemployment. At times the causes are beyond control of either the employee or employer.
In this article we shall be looking at unemployment which is beyond the control of either party. In this case we look at a scenario where the business has no choice but has to close down. Both the employer and employee are faced by same predicament of having to look for a new way of making an income. This may mean developing new skills or updating on their current skills. While this process gets through, how does one survive? How do you get another job?
Overcome Your Fears
Unemployment obviously brings alot of fears. These range from not knowing where to find another job, or how long it will take to find another job.You also wonder how you will survive with no income, whom you can ask for help and how your family and close friends will react to your job loss, the big one being basic survival needs. If however you went through the above phase without blocking it with your fears, before people know you have lost your job, you maybe already on another job.
Finding A Source Of Income: Resources
Unknowingly, you may have so many resources you can tap to for an income.Foremost you need to have an open mind.
Its true some people are more comfotable working for others, others may unknowingly have potentials of being self employed, while others would rather have someone work for them. In most cases, you may only belong to one not all three. In the worst scenario, you may fit in either but you will not be comfortable.
It is obviously better to work hard than remain with no source of income, so look around your life experiences and exposures, hobbies or interests; then create digital products or. Alternatively find a job by drafting cv that highlight them where necessary then submit to prospective employer. If you would rather do either of the other 2, then promote yourself and the product/digitals products you have in. Get your friends and family to be involved, and you should take off.
Dealing With Emotions
Most people find it hard to handle the emotions of job loss. Though its understandable, you have to find a way of dealing with them.
Foremost, you have to accept the negative emotions but stay clear of negative thoughts. The easiest way to deal with this is to look at the presented negativity and see how you can use it to your advantage or how that can be eliminated.Your goal is to eliminate stress as it will strain your focus. This also applies to your associates, friends and family. If they can not come with something positive or creative, make them aware you are dealing with the situation and at the time you do not wish to discuss that unless they have positive contribution.
Friends And family
If you lost a job, do not lose your close ones. Take on normal activities together, this helps maintain your social life. If they interfer negatively, look for a way to make them aware you need constructive ideas. In the worst scenario, make them aware you do not wish to discuss your jobloss or if this is not possible, cut off your time with them. However its important not to isolate yourself as this intensfies the pain of job loss.Your moral integrity should however not be compromised.
Your friends may fail to take into consideration your lack of income, its your resposnsibility to know when to say no. This is especially important if you need to spend money for things which are not essential. You simply buy what you need, not what you want.
Bills
Pay your essential bills first. These include bills like council tax, mortgage, electricity etc
Then pay your credit cards bill, and preferably clear them all and either cancel them. This is to avoid temptation to use them.
You may on the other hand get a pair of scissors and cut them to pieces for the same reason.
If you have debts you can not pay, call the creditors and negotiate some form of arrangement.
Remember to cut your spending by good maintenance of personal and domestic items. Follow manufacturers manual, this ensures long life - less need for proffesional servicing.
Shopping
Buy what the family needs, not what they want.Look for discount products and where possible buy products in bulk and ask for discounts. Another secret is to buy seasonal foods as they tend to be cheaper. If you buy in suppermarkets, look for foods about to expire as they are discounted ( but need to be consumed within a few days so you can not overstock). The biggets secret is budgeting. Do not buy at random, buy what is on your list and your menu.Remember, if you have access to a garden, you can grow most of your fruits and vegetables yourself.
